The beautiful Iris is named after the Greek Goddess of that name who was the messenger of the Gods on Mount Olympus. She took messages to mortals and used the Rainbow as the pathway from Heaven to Earth.
In the Language of Flowers the Iris means a ‘message’ and the flower’s stunning bright colours have also attributed the meaning of ‘flame’.
The Wood Sorrel means Joy and buttercups and corn have the meaning of gold and riches, so these flowers together interpret as ‘a message of joy and good fortune.’ A beautiful combination of flowers to celebrate any special occasion such as birthdays, a new baby, or a wedding.
