The Peony Fairy holds in her hand peony blossoms which signify healing. Peonies are named after the Greek God of Healing, Peon, and are also said to have protective qualities.
Peony seeds were made into necklaces by the Celts and Anglo Saxons who regarded them as a protective charm.
